The Boathouse facilities

The Boathouse in Putney has been home to Imperial College’s Rowing Club since 1938, one of the premier rowing clubs in Great Britain.

Located on the south side of Putney Bridge, with spectacular views overlooking the River Thames, the Putney Boathouse provides the perfect atmosphere in which to train and learn.

As a British Rowing High-Performance Centre, it provides world-class coaching and facilities including an onsite state of the art gym and club-room as well as a large, well-maintained fleet of boats to make sure all athletes achieve their highest potential.

The Boathouse has been the rowing home to winners of a silver medal for Great Britain in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games, Prince Albert Challenge Cup at the Henley Royal Regatta, and silver medals at the U23 World Championships.

We offer corporate team building days and our popular Junior summer rowing course, which provide the perfect opportunity for intermediate and advanced athletes to develop as both as an individual and as part of a team.
